Aluminium and glass verandas in Ireland
A fixed polycarbonate or glass roof on a powder-coated aluminium frame, made to measure and fitted across Ireland to keep the rain off your patio. Leave it open, or close it in with glass sliding doors.
Shelter for your patio, all year
An aluminium veranda, also called a patio canopy or lean-to, is a roof on a powder-coated aluminium frame. It keeps the rain off a patio or decking, so you can use it in all weathers.
Choose a polycarbonate roof or a glass roof. Leave the sides open, or close them in with glass sliding doors to make a glass room.
We supply and fit verandas across Ireland, with showrooms in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Carlow.

Glass rooms we have fitted

A glass room or a conservatory?
A glass room is the lighter option, and it is quicker to put up. Many people choose one to replace an old conservatory they no longer use in winter.
| Glass room | Conservatory or sunroom | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A veranda with glass sides | Part of the house |
| Insulated and heated | No | Yes |
| Opens up in summer | Yes, the doors slide right back | Windows and doors only |

Common questions
Tap a question to open it.
How much does an aluminium veranda cost?
It depends on the size, the roof and any sliding doors. We give a fixed quote after measuring, with no obligation. Our cost guide shows typical prices.
Do I need planning permission?
It depends on the size, height and position, so check with your local council before you order.
Can I add glass doors later?
Yes. The glass sliding doors fit new verandas and most existing ones.
Is a glass room the same as a sunroom or conservatory?
No. A sunroom or conservatory is an insulated, heated part of the house. A glass room is a veranda with glass sides: bright and sheltered, but not insulated.
Can a glass room stand away from the house?
Yes. The Ribolla and the Pinela Glass can both stand free on their own posts.
How long does a glass room take to fit?
Lead time is usually 6 to 8 weeks from order, and our own team usually fits a glass room in two to four days.
Glass or polycarbonate roof?
Glass lets in far more light and keeps its looks for years; polycarbonate is lighter and costs less. If you plan to close the veranda in, go for glass. Our comparison: glass roof or louvred roof.
Which glass roof model should I choose?
The Pigato is the classic choice: a round or Victorian gutter, four frame colours, and 4m to 7m wide. The Pinela Glass and the Trebbiano are cube-style, with LED lighting in the gutter as standard and a span of up to 7m on two posts. The Trebbiano has the flattest front and square posts; the Pinela Glass can also stand free on four posts.
