Keep the car and the drive dry

An aluminium carport is a roof on a powder-coated aluminium frame. Fix it to the side of the house over the driveway, or stand it on its own posts anywhere on the drive.

It is the same system as our verandas, sized for a car rather than a patio, so you get the same roof options, colours and guarantee. Our own fitting team does the work.

Planning permission

The rules for a carport can differ from the rules for a veranda at the back of the house, especially at the front or side facing a road. Check with your local council before you order.

Is a carport the same as a veranda?

It is the same powder-coated aluminium system, sized and positioned for a car rather than a patio, with the same roof options, colours and guarantee.

Can it go on the side of the house?

Yes, as long as the wall is suitable; we check it at the site visit. If it is not, a freestanding carport on posts does the same job.

Do I need planning permission for a carport?

The rules can differ from a veranda, especially at the front or side facing a road. Check with your local council before you order.

Do you fit carports for businesses?

Yes. We also fit covered parking, canopies and shelters for businesses. See our commercial outdoor structures page.
